Alice Dixon—To Come To Earth Again

The Last Greenhouse, When Rivers Run Dry, and Walking with Geologists are three new and related photographic series that function as field notes in Alice Dixon’s ongoing exploration of human interactions with nature. These depictions of sites from around the world, where humans and nature intersect, focus on the complex and contradictory relationships of proportion and affect.”

To Come To Earth Again – is an artist book published alongside Alice Dixon’s 2014 Featured CONTACT Photography Festival exhibition, on view May 1-31 at gallerywest, Toronto, Ontario. The work features three intersecting bodies of work by Alice Dixon, and an essay by Sky Goodden. Printed and published in Toronto, ON, hand- stitched and finished by Robyn York and Alice Dixon.
